Issue 2 – Voters First

Borrowed from

Yesterday, the Enquirer published a great letter to the editor, “Reasons to pass Issue 2,” penned by Jeanne Melvin of Columbus. She writes:

Are you tired of gerrymandered Congressional districts that enable out-of-touch politicians to worry more about their own careers than Ohio voters? Then vote YES for Issue 2.

Are you tired of politicians who go to extremes to protect their friends in Congress, as well as their lobbyists, but not the citizens of our state? Then vote YES for Issue 2.

Are you tired of legislators at the Ohio statehouse and in Washington who work harder for their PACs than their constituents? Then vote YES for Issue 2.

Are you tired of elected officials who use “fatal flaws, purposeful deception, material omissions, and factual inaccuracies” to try to win elections? Then vote YES for Issue 2.

Ohioans are tired of out-of-control politicians, and we’re not going to take it anymore. Issue 2 is the Voters First redistricting amendment that will go a long way towards ensuring that our politicians are held more accountable to us. I know it, you know it, and our politicians know it- that’s why you can expect to see their PACs running expensive ads against Issue 2 in the weeks leading up to Election Day.

Ignore their negative propaganda. Vote YES for Issue 2.
